I have been thinking about what I would write for this post for over two weeks now. The reason is – “I hate purses!” There, now, that it is out in the open! I know that as a woman, I am supposed to have way too many purses. I am supposed to have at least one for every outfit. I am supposed to always find another one that is just right, just one more! I am NOT that woman.
For so many years of our marriage, we had little ones. So the only bag I carried was a diaper bag. I put my wallet in there. What did I need a purse for? Then, when our youngest was no longer wearing diapers, I thought I better buy a purse. I was shocked! I had no idea! No wonder there are so many jokes about women and purses!
Brand
If I had to choose a favorite brand of purse – I would probably choose – Etienne Aigner. I have always loved going to the outlet store and browsing. I have always thought this brand was very classic.
Another brand that I have just found out about is Thirty-One. My friend, Kristie, sells these and she was kind enough to send me a catalog. I wanted to become a consultant, so that I could give these bags away to my Homesat Helper elite hostesses, but they put a “freeze” on new consultants as of the the 8th of February.
Style
If I had to choose a favorite style of purse – I would probably choose a shoulder bag. I also would want it to have lots of little compartments to keep my stuff organized. I hate digging around in the bottom of my purse to find my lip balm.
Size
If I had to choose a favorite size of purse – I would have to say medium size. I would rather carry two bags so that neither bag is too heavy. To me – a small purse is a waste of energy. If the purse is small it never has what I want when I want it. On the other hand – a large purse is a waste of space. If you don’t have an organizer bag, everything falls to the middle and the bottom of the bag. It is impossible to find anything!
I do not think I could buy a purse online. The exception to this would be if I was buying a duplicate of a purse or bag I already owned. I am way to cheap to spend good money on a purse that is not what I want. I still have not found the “perfect” purse for me. So, I just wrote a whole post to tell you that . . . I do not have a favorite purse!
See you next week for another Friday Favorite! In the comments, why don’t you tell me what is your favorite purse is.
